Role Summary
The pre-sales engineer provides technical guidance to sales personnel; assists a company’s account managers in pre-sales activities and reviews the current status of client technology processes.
The presales engineer is considered as a consultant to the customer, capable of understanding the customer’s environment and pain points and capable of translating them into a financial and technical proposal.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with assigned Customers to meet their business objectives and assist them in overcoming any problems they face on their infrastructure.
• Work with Sales Personnel to provide product, business and technical knowledge in support of pre-sales activities and assist in expediting sales cycle.
• Liaise with Product Managers to understand details of product design.
• Stay abreast of product roadmap as well as understand the scenarios, features and functions within each of the products and how these are applied to address business and technical problems.
• Staying current on competitive analyses and understand differentiators between the company and its competitors.
• Map products and solutions to customer requirements, no matter how complex.
Internal and External Relations
Internal: The Presales department interacts with the Sales Department, Technical Department (Core and Global), Product Managers, PMO Department, Purchasing and Management.
External: Customers, Suppliers.
Education, skills And Competencies
• Bachelor degree in Computer and communications engineering or Equivalent
• Language: Excellent skills in English, French and Arabic
Major Challenges
• Ability to understand business processes and business problems.
• 1 to 3 years of experience
• Ability to multi-task and be able to represent multiple subjects and products.
• Ability to understand and capture business and technical requirements.
• Ability to interact with all related parties involved in order to present a complete and optimal solution and meet the specified deadline.
